Mercedes Corbell Design + Architecture (MCD+A) is a small Oakland firm specializing in green design for residential and commercial environments.
Originally called Mercedes Corbell Design, founder and architect
Mercedes Corbell renamed the firm to its current title in
2002. Since focusing on sustainable design in 2000, Mercedes
Corbell Design + Architecture has been the architectural firm
for a number of green projects, including the renovation and
expansion of existing homes, outdoor spaces, and commercial
spaces.
The choice of materials, products, and building systems
are key to achieving a green project and we are committed
to working with our clients to achieve their “green goals.”
Seated in an art studio converted from a 1920’s commercial
building, we are surrounded by artists, designers, and construction
projects in our rapidly changing neighborhood.
